When I need a new version of the original CM® buckle, I go back to a dot to dot outline of the shape. It helps me see the basics again. From there I look for small ways to change the style without losing the identity of the trademark. The shape looks simple, but it is surprisingly hard to tweak while keeping it the same. The dot to dot keeps me on track.
